The main social goal of Corporación Minera Centauro is to develop and strengthen relationships with its neighboring communities of direct and indirect influence, within and far beyond the legal framework in force. For the latter to be accomplished, Corporación Minera Centauro maintains a social agenda that includes Community Relations Programs aimed at contributing to an economic and social development of their neighboting communities, while respecting their cultural legacy and traditions.

 

During the development of the mining operations in Quicay until the current exploration activities of the new projects Quicay I and II, Corporación Minera Centauro continues succeeding with its social agenda from prior years, providing the neighboring communities with well-being and development, thus strengthening the harmonious relationship attained between the company and its surroundings by virtue of more than a decade of mutual respect and trust.

 

In this sense, Corporación Minera Centauro aimed at fostering good relationships between mining and communities, do a number of Community Relations Programs, which tackle the main factors that enable an economic and social devolpment: Education, Health and Nutrition, Social Infrastructure, Entrepreneurial Vision and Environmental Conservation.

 

Outside these programs, Corporación Minera Centauro’s social agenda includes different activities and initiatives with the Communities that are developed in several important dates such as Christmas or Anniversaries at each Community.
