The Quicay I project is located in the district of Simón Bolívar, province and department of Pasco, corresponding to the Pasco region. It is placed at the Central Mountain range plateau, in an area commonly known as the "Pasco Region Knot". Quicay I can be access by central highway, through a paved road connecting Lima with Cerro de Pasco by a distance of 300 kilometres, and an unpaved road of 21 kilometres leading to the project. Likewise, the project can be accessed by the central railroad of the Callao Port, which connects the coast of Lima with the city of Cerro de Pasco.

 

Geographically, Quicay I is located at the Central Mountain range of the Peruvian Andes at 4,400 masl. Geomorphologically, the project is located between the eastern side of the Western Mountain range of the Andes and the west side of the Eastern Mountain range.
